Special thanks to the hundreds of volunteer coaches who made the 2009 softball and baseball season a great success!!! The Park had over 1,800 children in these two programs this year. The Park handles the field care, scheduling, uniform ordering, equipment etc but can not be successful without the coaches and assistant coaches who give up their time, effort and energy to work with the players. |

Thanks to Whitney National Bank for sponsoring the District’s intra-league all-star games. All-stars are picked based upon their ability and team sportmanship. The top 22 players from each league then play an exhibition all-star game. (Program has previously been sponsored by Parish National Bank which is now Whitney). Whitney’s sponsorship paid for the t-shirts that each player receives and their medal. Special thanks to Joe Omner and Cleave Fair who are wonderful friends of Pelican Park and assisted with obtaining this sponsorship |
